Important Safety Information

Compounded Tirzepatide is a medication used alongside diet and exercise to support blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes. It may also be prescribed off-label to support weight management in individuals with overweight or obesity. Tirzepatide is a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist that works by helping your body regulate blood sugar and appetite.

This product is a compounded medication prepared by a licensed pharmacy and is not approved by the FDA. Compounded medications are prescribed when commercially available alternatives are not suitable for individual patient needs.

Do Not Use Compounded Tirzepatide If You:

  • Are allergic to tirzepatide or any of its ingredients
  • Have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC)
  • Have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2)
  • Are pregnant or planning to become pregnant

Warnings and Precautions:

  • Thyroid C-cell tumors: Tirzepatide has caused thyroid tumors in animal studies. It is unknown if this risk applies to humans. Avoid use if you or a family member has a history of thyroid cancer.
  • Pancreatitis: Inflammation of the pancreas has occurred with similar medications. Contact your provider if you experience severe abdominal pain, with or without vomiting.
  • Gallbladder disease: Tirzepatide may increase the risk of gallstones or gallbladder inflammation.
  • Hypoglycemia: Low blood sugar may occur, especially if used with insulin or other diabetes medications.
  • Kidney function: Dehydration from nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea may worsen kidney problems.
  • Gastrointestinal issues: Commonly causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation. These are typically temporary but report severe or persistent symptoms to your provider.

Possible Side Effects

Seek medical attention immediately if you experience:

  • Swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat
  • Difficulty breathing or swallowing
  • Severe stomach pain or vomiting
  • Signs of low blood sugar: shakiness, confusion, sweating, dizziness, fast heartbeat
  • Symptoms of pancreatitis: persistent, severe abdominal pain that may radiate to the back

Common Side Effects May Include:

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation
  • Decreased appetite
  • Indigestion or bloating
  • Fatigue
  • Injection site reactions

Before Using Compounded Tirzepatide, Tell Your Healthcare Provider If You:

  • Have a history of pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, or kidney problems
  • Have or have had any thyroid nodules or cancer
  • Have type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis
  • Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy
  • Use insulin or other diabetes medications

Drug Interactions

Tell your healthcare provider about all medications, vitamins, and supplements you take, especially:

  • Insulin or sulfonylureas (may increase risk of low blood sugar)
  • Medications that affect gastrointestinal motility
  • Oral medications (tirzepatide may delay gastric emptying and affect absorption)

Administration & Storage:

  • Use as directed by your healthcare provider, typically once weekly.
  • Inject subcutaneously in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Rotate injection sites each week.
  • Do not reuse needles or share pens or syringes.
  • Store in the refrigerator (36°F to 46°F) until use. Protect from light. Do not freeze.
  • If traveling, Tirzepatide may be kept at room temperature (up to 86°F) for up to 21 days, depending on pharmacy instructions.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Do not stop or adjust your medication without consulting your healthcare provider. Regular check-ins and lab monitoring may be required to track progress and ensure safety.
